New transport corridor will connect Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Romania

Romania and Georgia have a ferry service since 2014. Ferries deliver cargo and passengers once a week. However, the incumbent President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili announced her intention to increase the volume and frequency of traffic. At the meeting with the Foreign Minister of Romania Teodor Melescanu, Azerbaijan-Elmar Mamedyarov and Turkmenistan-Rashid Meredov, the issue of developing a new transport corridor Black Sea-Caspian Sea will be raised. Representatives of these countries are planning to sign a corresponding declaration at this meeting, where the main points for the creation of this large-scale project will be recorded.
